On the borders of Mavrovouni and Valia Kantia there are the dragon lakes of Flegges at altitude 1960 and  1940.   

 

Usually we make a crossing starting from Mavrovounis' old refuge. Set up our tent in the dragon lakes to spend the night and the other day we continue to Vovousa Vilage. It is a demanding hike, especially the second part, that looks like with no end. On the other side, nature compensates you with its beauty. Alpine zones, forest, rivers, wild horses, nedless to speak about the lakes are some of the elements of nature that you "have to face". At least once of your life you have to visit it
