the Rooms
Petres, the greek for stones, is an old village L shaped house comprising of two spaces...
Our space with the loft on your left entering the plot, and the guest's space, with a separate entrance leading to a common sitting room - kitchen, and two private rooms with en suite bathrooms either side.

We named the two rooms Zarani and Mavra Gremna.
Zarani after the spring that offers fresh water to the village, and
Mavra Gremna after the black cliffs overlooking the village!
​
Plates, mugs and all ceramic items, are made by hand following traditional simple techniques. Find out more on all pottery items on www.clumsyhands.gr

The mattresses you sleep on, cushions, and bed frames, are hand crafted in Greece by Bed and Sofa and by the use of solely eco friendly raw materials, cotton and latex. Further details on www.bedandsofa.gr

In each room you find a "Bed in a Bag futon" that when unrolled and spread on the floor it may sleep the "extra" visitor.
​
In between of the two guest rooms is the shared common room with a fully equipped kitchen where one can self prepare breakfast, snacks or even dinner!
Coffee maker, toaster, local herbs tea, eggs of village chicken, hand made jams, honey and other local delicacies are always there available to all our guests.
​
Guests may choose between the two rooms or they may get the whole house.
Those who opt for the whole house also have exclusive use of the common room and kitchen.
​
In the front yard there are spots to sit, think, eat, drink and read.

1. Zarani Room
Zarani located at the northwest side of the house, to the left hand side of the common room.
It sleeps up to three in solid wood double and single beds.
​
The large window looks towards Zaranokefala, the closest of Lefka Ori peaks that reaches 2140 meters above sea level!
​
Zarani has its individual bathroom with shower and a stove for the cold winter days or to add colour to the room's atmosphere!
Guests in Zarani have access to the shared common room with its open kitchen and the sitting area with a sofa and a bench type table.

€60 per night for two
€70 per night for three
2. Mavra Gremna Room
Mavra Gremna located to the southeast side of the house, to the right hand side of the common room.
It may sleep up to two guests.
The window is overlooking the front yard with the olive tree that, according to the locals it has been there for centuries, actually, as the say, for over 1000 tears!!!!
Mavra Gremna have its own bathroom with shower and a stove for the cold winter days or warming the atmosphere in the less demanding days.
Guests in Mavra Gremna have access to the shared common room with the open kitchen and the sitting table (bench)

3. Petres Entire Apartment
Comprises by both Zarani and Mavra Gremna with exclusive use of the common room and the kitchen.
Are you a small group of more than two, or a family with kids?
You may rent out the whole house!
This includes both Zarani and Mavra Gremna, plus the common room with the fully equipped kitchenette and the sitting area.
​
The sofa in the common area can sleep one more person!
So the overall capacity tops to 6 guests.
Though it may increase to up to 8 if you do not mind using two extra futon mattresses that can be unrolled on the floor!
​
Coffee and coffee machine, local herb tea, local eggs if chicken allow, hand made jams, as well as all the utensils and cooking equipment is always to be found in the kitchen.
