Smolikas is the second highest mountain of Greece with hight 2637m.

 

We set up our tent outside of Pades vilage old school which admined by a young couple as a guest house.  We took the path which started from the village and passes through a deep forest and ends up in an alpine zone. There you can find a dragon lake called Ligga. East of dragon lake located Smolikas' peak. We didn't have time to visited it, but we promised to be there again spending a night in a dragon lake, make a morning hiking to the peak and conclude with a crossing to Ioannina area. So, stay tuned
