Leonidio via Mount Parnon

Leonidio, a beautiful city built in the late 18th century at the by the sea land fishermen were keeping their fishing huts.
The city grew to thousands gathering people from all the poor mount Parnon villages.
The trip started at Tripoli with an overnight stop by the chapel of Saint George. A notorious ascend on the west slope of Parnon made us pass the local refuge and pitch our tent by the little wooden emergency refuge just off the main road.
The night was cold and the lenses cooked great!
Next day's easy ride brought us for lunch at Agios Vasilios prior to the 35k downhill stretch to Leonidio and the great camping site at the Plaka village.
